Bridal Hair and Make Up Course

Our July Bridal Hair and Make Up Course was a huge success last week with a gorgeous group of students.

 

 

They started the week learning about the importance of safe beauty and hygiene, how to start your bridal business and what it takes to be a great bridal make up artist. They discussed building their reputation and correct etiquette, building rapport and the wedding trial. These topics were all accompanied by Nicci’s own personal anecdotes of which there are many amusing stories to be heard!

 

Students looked at kit, brushes and the essentials before getting started with the practical session. They set to work on creating glowing skin, eyes that smoulder and the perfect pout!

 

The shopping morning was, as always, a popular day with a visit to MAC, Illamasqua and Charles Fox where the students received (and made the most of) fantastic discounts.

 

 

Nicci demonstrated the amazing effects of airbrushing using London Muse favourite, AIRBASE. Students were all amazed by the results and were soon booking themselves onto Airbrushing courses!

 

On Friday evening, the students all joined Nicci and Diana at the Illamasqua Skin Base Masterclass event with David Horne.

 

Next, the students moved onto the art of Bridal Hairstyling which is often the first experience any students have of handling hair. Working with a variety of tools, they are shown how to create a variety of styles including romantic up and down styling along with classics such as the french pleat and beehive. At London Muse we work with Paul Mitchell hair products and all students receive a Paul Mitchell Professional hair kit as part of their course.

 

Foundation to Advanced Make Up Certificate Course student Laura returned for further training at London Muse and we were delighted to welcome her back! It is always such a pleasure to have students return and all of our courses are structured in such as way to work as building blocks of skills and experience. All students enjoy a 20% discount on future courses with us making it even easier to progress their training.

 

As with all of our courses, this was another intensive week in which the students were stretched and worked exceptionally hard. They were pushed every day and they stepped up to the challenge brilliantly.
