Basic Effects
Would you like to extend your artistry skills in the specialist area of casualty and make up effects?
This is an intensive short program, introducing skilled effects for TV, film and theatre incorporating the use of pro products such as gelatine, latex, tuplast, prosaide and rigid collodion.

During this course you will cover:
DAY 1 Health and safety guidelines on using materials for special effects.
Building and using a reference portfolio when researching casualty effects
Tattoo’s and camouflage……working with stencils and specialist products to create
realistic tattoos
DAY 2 Eyebrow blocking….alterations using wax, prosaid and soap applications
DAY 3 Dirtying down….applying dirt, sweat, tears, grazes and track marks
DAY 4 Bruises, scars … different stages of bruising effects and scars using pro materials
DAY 5 Open wounds, cuts and blood effects…..sculpting and applying wound effects using a variety of
specialist materials
DAY 6 Burns… applying and building all stages of burn effects from first to third degree
This course also includes an exclusive master class and discount shopping event with Charles Fox, specialist make up suppliers to the film and theatre industry.
All materials for the duration of the course will be supplied.

Please note: We require that all students complete the Foundation to Advanced Make Up Certificate Course prior to attending this course
