Foundation Make Up Certificate June
What an amazing week it has been!
On Monday, we opened our doors at London MUSE to the June Foundation week students. We instantly knew that they were a lovely group – they were very smiley, very enthusiastic and very focused!
After I had done my little introduction, everyone was ready to get started! With Nicci Jackson taking centre stage, the real work began and, as always, she entered with a bang. An interactive intro from the main lady, she got everyone talking and personalities emerged within minutes. She had all of our students chatting, asking each other questions, asking her questions and generally getting comfortable in what would be their home for the next week or more!
I love the first day, mainly as I get to watch the class form and see the shoulders visibly relax and the smiles grow bigger. Nicci and Aga combined on that first day to provide a memorable welcome from which the students had a wonderful platform to continue their week.
On Tuesday, the students enjoyed an eye opening talk from Antonia Hawke, CEO of the Safe Beauty Association. Her presentation is a key part of our Foundation week and paramount to everyone’s hygiene education. Antonia ensures that the safe beauty message is heard loud and clear.
The week progressed under the continued guidance of Nicci, Francesco Lo Cascio, Yannick Zurcher and Aga Borowa. Each tutor bringing their own experience and expertise to the classroom and bonding with our class. They offered their invaluable advice and, through both demonstrations and direction in practicals, took our students on a fantastic journey.
The students worked so hard and progressed at an incredible rate, showing leaps of improvement each day.
On Saturday, I observed the students as they worked on their practical and I couldn’t believe it was the same class. The work I watched – creations using pigments and the confidence with which the students worked – was inspiring.
After another little chat from me, the only sad news of the week had to be faced. We were to say good bye to our three lovely students completing their course that day.
Marta, Katy and Hayley will be very missed next week after becoming such an integral part of the group. They received loud applause as they received their certificates and we raised a toast to them with an end of week glass of wine.
So, what did our students think of their week?
‘Amazing’ – Emily
‘Fantastic! Really, really good!’ – Hayley
‘I’m coming back in October’ – Marta
‘I loved it’ – Alex
So, for all of our Advanced students - the fun starts again tomorrow! They will have enjoyed a day of rest, a chance to reflect on their first week and look forward to the next.
The second week is just as intensive, pushing their abilities further, stretching their creativity and working that confidence inside! They are friends, they are buddies and they are support for each other. Within that kind of environment, under the wings of some of the industry’s finest tutors anything is possible and everything is within reach.
Listen, learn, practice and grow, guys! You are all fabulous!

You have all been amazing students and your progress in the first week has been remarkable.
Now its time to Advance and push creative boundaries further as we prepare you for your first fashion portfolio shoot.
Believe in your art and the rest will follow…love u all, Nicci x
This was such an amazing week and I am so glad I chose London Muse! Thank you to all the tutors for being welcoming and inspirational to me, I will defiantly be back for more!
Good luck to everyone carrying onto the advance course and with the photo shoots, I’m sure they’ll be amazing!
