Aga Borowa has 11 years of experience as a make up artist. Following her BTEC in London College of Fashion she then started to work as a professional make up artist.

Aga’ s extreme talent and passion for art soon landed her various jobs for tv, fashion and music.

TV programs include: Make Me a Supermodel, Footballers wives, This morning, World Music Awards, Soap Awards. Aga’s celebrity clients include Usher, Enya, Eminem, Joan Collins, Claire Peacock, Marie Connor, Rosie Webster, Jason Gardiner.

Aga has been also working on many fashion week shows including  Alexander Mcqueen, Julien Mcdonald, Vivienne Westwood,  Moschino, Arkadius, Bora Aksu and Sophia Kokosolaki.

Interview with Aga….

How did you get to Make up?

As a child I was very creative. When I came to London 18 years ago I bought my first Vogue magazine and admired the beautiful and different makeup on the models. I decided to go to London College of Fashion to learn about make up applications for myself. I loved makeup artistry so much and decided it was the right career for me.

What have been your best moments so far?

Each time when I am at work and create the look I feel like this is the best I have ever done, therefore I can honestly say that everyday at work is the best moment for me.

What personality traits make a good artist?

Determination. When you are determined to achieve something, that means that you are passionate about it. When you have passion for your work you strive to be good at it. Artistry is a creativity that never stops evolving and passion for the art is everything to me.

Why did you start teaching?

Passing my knowledge and skills to help some one achieve their dreams makes me a very happy person.

Give us a typical ‘Day in the life of’ Make up artist.

Different day, different job. It could be in a studio or on location working on a photo shoot, video or a private client. One thing that is essential in your working day is a fully prepared and clean kit, so this is a big part of my day too. After every job I spend the evening preparing my kit for the next day.

What are your 3 favorite products?

Max Factor’s False lash effect mascara, Nars’s bronzing podwer in Laguna, Laura Mercier primers.

What is you top beauty tip?

Drinking water to hydrate the skin and plenty of sleep to eliminate signs of fatigue.

Any skin care tips?

A touch of Bio oil applied to dry skin before applying foundation makes skin radiant and healthy looking.

What is your advise to budding Make up Artists?

Always be yourself and of course practice, practice, practice…
